Empak returned again to AMBEV in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for a top-notch Product Development & Mould Design Training!
We rolled up our sleeves and tackled key concepts like:
Glass properties
IS machine timing
FEA stress analysis
CFD mould cooling strategies
All matched against real-world production scenarios—because theory means nothing if it can’t run on the floor.
As always, parison design rules kicked off some great discussions, with real case studies pushing Empak’s PAKForming Simulator to the limit—and this session was no exception!
Here’s our mate Zlatin from the Mould Design Department (Bulgaria office) showing results that lined up beautifully with what was happening live on the IS machine. Bullseye!

And bringing the conversation right to the heart of the action was Tiago (Lisbon office) , who led discussions directly on the shopfloor, where theory gets it's trial by fire and glass!

🙌 A Massive "Obrigado and Gracias" to Rio, Paraná and Tierra Blanca Teams! 🙌
Huge thanks to the attending team for tossing in some tough technical challenges—just the kind of stuff that makes Product Development and Mould Design such critical pillars in the container glass supply chain.

The hospitality was as warm as the weather we found(!), the collaboration was spot-on, and a very enjoyable training to participate.
Thanks as well for the guided tour of the plant, Lucas!
Looking forward to the next adventure together. Até logo!
Sincerely,
All Empakglass Team!
